Ola debuts on-demand grocery delivery services through Ola Store in Bengaluru

App-based taxi aggregator service Ola on Tuesday launched an app named Ola Store announcing its entry into on-demand grocery delivery services. The app launched for Android users will soon be rolled out for iPhone users as well.

The app helps customers to get all groceries delivered at the door step from local vendors within 60 minutes. The app has been lauched on a pilot basis and is currently only available in Bengaluru.

“Orders can be placed directly from the 'Ola Store' mobile app. This is currently available in Bangalore, delivering anytime between 9 am and 11 pm,” Ola said in a statement. As a promotional offer, the company will offer 20% discount on first-time orders.

Currently, on-demand start-ups like Peppertap and Grofer provide similar services like Ola Store. Ola already has a food delivery service called Ola Café in place.
