Panasonic India on Tuesday launched the P66 Mega, a localised smartphone built for digital empowerment.The phone supports 21 Indian languages, powered by a 3,200-mAh battery, along with 2 GB RAM. It is available at a best buy of Rs 7,990. This new P-Series model is designed to transcend language barriers and empower people to talk, type, and text in their own native language.

Laced with a A 1.3-GHz quad-core processor the phone boasts of a 8-megapixel (MP) light-emitting diode (LED)-enabled rear camera and 5-MP front camera. All of this is complimented by a 5-inch high-definition IPS display, rendering wide-viewing angles and crystal-clear daylight readability.
 

Speaking at the launch, Pankaj Rana, business head (mobility division), Panasonic India, said, “Digital India is all about bridging the digital divide through technology and connecting people to the digital world in their own language. The growing numbers of mobile internet users in India is a proof of the digital aspirations of Indians today. By deploying a multi-language portfolio in our latest device, Panasonic seeks to connect Indians through smartphone technology to the world of opportunities in mobile banking, online shopping, social networking and virtual entertainment.

The premium contour-edge design provides a comfortable fit in the palm, and is stylishly finished to give it an aesthetic edge. Available in three irresistible colours – electric blue, rose gold, and russet brown – each device comes with complimentary screen guard and back cover.
