One of the largest network cabling integrator in the country, Sigma-Byte Computers Pvt. Ltd., launched its network cabling services in Gujarat recently. With its new branch set up in Ahmedabad, the company, in association with Commscope Enterprise Solutions, intends to cater both large enterprises and small and medium businesses (SMBs).

"As an industrious state, Gujarat houses several industries comprising multinational corporations, private sector as well as public sector enterprises, where the requirement of networks and high speed access methods are increasing. This calls for manageable cabling systems which is considered to be the backbone of any infrastructure. Therefore, Gujarat forms a major market for us where we look to cater both large enterprises as well as SMBs," said Ketan Kothari, managing director, Sigma-Byte Computers Pvt. Ltd.

Through its association with Commscope Enterprise Solutions, Sigma-Byte will be catering to varied sectors like BFSI, IT/ITeS, telecom and infrastructure. Moreover, in Gujarat, the company will also be focusing on the emerging education and government sectors. "Requirement of networks is increasing in education and government sectors, especially in states like Gujarat and Maharashtra. We would be specifically focusing on these sectors to tap a better market share," said Sandip Chadha, managing director, Commscope Enterprise Solutions, India and SAARC.

Quoting IDC estimates, Kothari added that currently cabling industry is growing at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22 per cent. Apart from Ahmedabad, the company's branches have been set up in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
