Leading information technology and consulting company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is opening its first learning and development centre for campus trainees here on Tuesday.
The new centre is equipped to train 6,000 professionals in a year. It will offer TCS learning curriculum over three months to those who join the company directly from colleges.
“TCS remains committed to the growth of IT sector in Andhra Pradesh. With over five global development centres (GDCs) functioning in the city and the second phase of Synergy Park being built, we continue to invest in the state both in terms of infrastructure and talent,” TCS vice-president V Rajanna said in a release.
Stating that TCS and its subsidiaries continue to expand its range of operations in the city, Rajanna said that for 2011-12, the company had made employment offers to over 5,500 engineering students from 42 colleges in the state. Currently, TCS has over 17,500 professionals in the city.
Some of the key sectors being served by TCS in Hyderabad include banking, financial services, securities, and insurance (BFSI), telecommunications, manufacturing, healthcare, government, education, energy and utilities.
