AkzoNobel in talks to buy BASF's industrial coatings business


<span style="font-size: 12px;">Dutch specialty chemicals company AkzoNobel is holding talks to acquire BASF&rsquo;s industrial coatings business. &ldquo;AkzoNobel confirms it is in discussions with BASF with regards a potential purchase of their industrial coatings business,&rdquo; said the company, without giving the details of nature of the talks.</span><br />

The move is a part of AkzoNobel&rsquo;s strategy to drive operational excellence and organic growth including the possibility to pursue value generating, bolt-on acquisitions.<br />
