Dr Amin Controllers acquires Intertek India's minerals business

The company will manage all existing and future contracts including laboratory testing from Kolkata, Paradip and Chennai in the minerals business

The Chennai-based Dr Amin Controllers, which provides quality testing & certification services, has acquired from Intertek India’s minerals business. Dr Amin Controllers will be taking over this business line on a going concern concept and with effect from October 21, 2014, which includes assets and employees. Dr Amin Controllers will manage all existing and future contracts including laboratory testing from Kolkata, Paradip and Chennai in the minerals business.

With this acquisition, we will be able to reinforce our service offerings through an additional team of dedicated professionals of Chemists, Technicians, Supervisors and Samplers to serve our customers with dedication, integrity and profound knowledge,” commented Siddharth Amin, MD, Dr Amin Controllers.
 
Commenting on this divestment which is part of Intertek’s strategic portfolio management, Rajesh Saigal, Regional Managing Director, Intertek South Asia, said, “In order to ensure that we maintain continuity of all our customer contracts, we believe that Dr Amin Controllers would be the best company to carry forward our legacy in providing best quality solutions to our customers in the minerals business.”
 
Dr Amin Controllers is currently present at 27 locations in the country with four testing laboratories of their own and fields a man-power that is over 900 strong and growing.
