Sarad took advice of his customer seriously.  Fresh Dahi offered by various brands in packaged form is consistent in taste and texture unlike one made at home which varies every day due to quality of milk, starter culture used and process used. When the entire country was facing Covid-19 led lockdown challenges, his team was working on development of cow milk based new products, sitting at home with support of manufacturing team at factory. End result was ‘Moowing’ Dahi, fresh and pure packed in 1 kg poly pouch. Launched in Mumbai, on India’s largest online retail platform & at price of milk. Consumers immediately gave it a thump up. The response was phenomenal which made him introduce it to rest of the other towns in Maharashtra. A lot of deliberation on cost economics, efficient logistics planning, ‘zero’ GST rate from Government and support from partnering companies by keeping the margins low, made it work.  Today it is highest selling Dahi on online platform in Mumbai.

The Company did not stop here. Due to lockdowns when the men-movement was low and so was the sales. Company decided to focus and continue development of new products. Sarad had workplace close by, started working from office. And since then, Happy Cow Dairy launched one after another products like Cow ghee, Cheese and Paneer during last 9 months. All developed inhouse during lockdown period. A perfect example of inspiring story of ‘identifying opportunity in adversities. Sarad was always interested in dairying and welfare of farmer communities. After giving up is plum job in one of large MNC in FMCG sector 3 years back, he decided to work on his own.

Economic Times recognized Moowing as promising brand of year during 2019 when it had only one product ‘cow milk’.
