Yogesh Joshi, an Entrepreneur Contributing In Society By Providing With Best Organic Products
.

We live in a world where it is difficult to find anything in its purest form, whether it's air or food. The market for organic food has been increasing at a rapid pace. Organic produce is in high demand among consumers. A person like Yogesh Joshi, who has come to help hundreds of farmers by training them and providing equipment which they need for their land has made it possible for people to consume organic products.
Farming is not always the first choice of a person but Yogesh always wanted to do farming. Like any other family, they wanted him to study and apply for a government job. His journey started in 2009, with zero knowledge of farming and stuck with a thought of which plant to crop. He did a bit of research and finally decided to cultivate cumin, which is a cash crop.
Sharing his experience about farming Yogesh said, “ For the first time I cultivated cumin on one acre of land, there was no success, the loss was done. Even after this, I did not lose courage. We were initially at a loss due to a lack of experience and advice, so enlisted the help of agricultural scientists at the Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI). The scientists trained many more farmers with me after coming to the village, after which we again cultivated cumin and made a profit. After this, we expanded the scope of farming, also started cultivation of other crops which has made our farming business a massive success.”
Starting his journey with seven farmers, he has successfully been joined by 3000 farmers in the Jalore district of Rajasthan. Helping thousands of farmers to grow spices like cumin, fennel, coriander, fenugreek, kalonji, and others, which are among the most common crops in India and around the world.
“Rapid Organic Pvt. Ltd.” and “The Indian Agro Development Co.” are two of Yogesh's profitable businesses. The first educates farmers by providing them with farming knowledge, while the second is responsible for production and marketing. Daily medical camps, educational camps, and training camps are also organised for them by the organisation. He also runs an FPO (Farmer Producer Company) where he buys 100% of organic spices, cereals, pulses, dry fruits, oilseeds, and superfoods directly from farmers.
He is currently doing business with a number of international and domestic firms and signed a contract for farming 400 tonnes of Quinoa with a Hyderabad-based company. He has also formed a partnership with a Japanese firm. They grow cumin for them and supply it to them. His product has gotten a lot of positive feedback in Japan. They've recently begun supplying the United States as well.
For his incredible contribution in the field of agriculture, Yogesh was honoured by MSME Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari for his outstanding work in the organic field. Her wife, Aruna Joshi has also been lauded by Smriti Irani (Ministry of Women and Child Development) for empowering women in the agricultural sector.
Yogesh currently leads a team of 50 people who have earned recognition from both the federal and state governments. Mrs Aruna Joshi plays a key role in the business and has been doing an outstanding job since the company's inception. She has organised a community of female farmers and is teaching them different skills.
Taking help from social media, she started a YouTube channel called ‘Organic food Kitchen & Recipes' last year during the Covid-19 situation to cook a variety of Organic recipes. The channel currently has over 2000 subscribers and is growing every day.
