It was all Abhishek Sharma in Mumbai today as the Indian opener after his135 runs innings with the bat took two wickets with the ball and took a brilliant catch to hand India an easy win in the match and 4-1 win in the series. In the match, Abhishek scored second fastest 50 and 100 by an Indian batter in T20Is, while also scoring the highest indiviadual T20I score India. He hit 13 sixes in the match which is also most by any Indian batter in a T20I match.

Earlier, England won the toss and invited India to bat first. The hosts suffered another disappointing start as Sanju Samson (16) was once again dismissed on a short ball from Mark Wood in the second over. But Abhishek Sharma (135) and Tilak Varma (24) added 115 runs for the second wicket before cameos from Shivam Dube (30) and Axar Patel (15) took India to a mammoth total of 247 for 9 at the end of 20 overs.
For England, Brydon Carse took three wickets, Mark Wood took two, while Adil Rashid, Jofra Archer and Jamie Overton took one each.
In reply, England also lost their first wicket quickly as Mohammad Shami removed Ben Duckett (0) to draw first blood for India. Phil Salt (55) kept the fight alive from one end, but he kept losing partners as Jos Buttler (7), Harry Brook (2) and Liam Livingstone (9) all fell cheaply before Salt himself was dismissed by Shivam Dube, reducing England to 82 for 5.
Abhishek Sharma then added to England’s misery, removing Brydon Carse (3) and Jamie Overton (1) in his first over to further reduce England to 90 for 7. Shivam Dube then clean bowled Jacob Bethell (10), removing England’s last recognised batter. Mohammad Shami wrapped up the innings by dismissing Adil Rashid (6) and Mark Wood (0), bundling England out for just 97 and handing India a huge 150-run victory.
