Churches in Mumbai remain shut on Easter

Mumbai, Apr 12 (ANI): Churches in Mumbai remained closed on Easter Sunday due to suspension of mass gatherings after COVID-19 spread. 'Basilica of Our Lady of The Mount' in Bandra wore a deserted look. St Michael's Church in Mahim also remained shut in view of the situation. Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ following his crucifixion on Good Friday. It also marks the culmination of Lent, a 40-day period of fasting and penance.
