COVID-19: Andhra Pradesh govt starts door to door distribution of welfare pensions

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 01 (ANI): The Government of Andhra Pradesh has started door to door distribution of welfare pensions on April 01. Ward volunteers distributed the welfare pensions in Andhra Pradesh's Amaravati. In wake of coronavirus spread, instead of taking biometric thumb impressions, beneficiaries were identified with photo identity for getting welfare funds. The government claimed that 53% of pensions were distributed by 08:30 am in the area. The beneficiaries will receive amount of Rs 2,250 as pension while transgenders and people with disabilities will receive amount of Rs 3,000.
