COVID-19 lockdown: Migrant workers stranded in Dharavi struggle for livelihood

Mumbai, Apr 19 (ANI): The catering businesses in Dharavi in central Mumbai have been shut for more than a month now. Labourers, here are living in uncertainties here between lives and livelihoods. On one hand, migrant workers don't have any job to earn some pennies, on other hand they can't go back to their native homes. William, who runs a catering business in country's commercial capital, Mumbai said, "I am in double pressure right now, I have to feed myself and my workers also." However, William has sent some of workers back to village but left ones are stuck here. All of them are from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Dharavi's economy has gone down after huge number of people infected with the highly contagious COVID-19. Total number of coronavirus cases have reached to 3, 651 in Mumbai, which is the highest across the nation.
