Devotees take holy dip in river Ganga on 'Nirjala Ekadashi' in UP's Varanasi

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Jun 13 (ANI): Devotees celebrated 'Nirjala Ekadashi' in UP's Varanasi on Thursday. They took holy dip in river Ganga on the occasion. As per Hindu Puranas, it is considered to be the most austere and the most sacred of all 24 Ekadashis. It derived its name from the 'water-less' (Nir-jala) fast observed on this day.
