Dia Mirza spreads awareness about using eco-friendly Ganesha in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 31 (ANI): Bollywood actress Dia Mirza attended an event organised by BIG FM in Mumbai on August 30. To spread awareness about using eco-friendly Ganesha idols, BIG FM held a two-week-long contest in the city. Dia Mirza was seen wearing traditional Indian outfit on this occasion. Mentioning about the event on her social media account, she said, "Soon the festive 'Ganesh Utsav' will commence in Maharashtra...a time we celebrate our Elephant God #GanpatiBappa. No better way than to recognise that the remover of obstacles, the God of wisdom, knowledge and luck would never want for us to pollute our waters, our food chain, our soil with idols made of Plaster of Paris and toxic paints. We are a culture and civilisation that has always revered and worshipped nature, this Ganesh Utsav bring home a #GreenGanesha." Lucky contest winners were also felicitated with a Tree Ganesha by Dia Mirza at the BIG FM office.
