Will conserve Vaigai River like river Ganges: PM Modi

Theni (Tamil Nadu), Apr 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a public rally in Tamil Nadu's Theni. While addressing the gathering he said that BJP government has fulfilled farmers' decades' old demand of Minimum Support Price (MSP) of 1.5 times a cost. The Prime Minister also highlighted the irrigation problem faced by the farmers of Tamil Nadu and assured them to conserve Vaigai River like river Ganges."For decades famers were demanding MSP at 1.5 times a cost we have fulfilled this demand. I am aware of the problem that farmers are facing in irrigation, we are looking to conserve the vaigai river just like the river Ganges," said PM Modi. Tamil Nadu will see polling during the second phase of voting across the whole country. The voting date for Tamil Nadu is on April 18. On this day, all the constituencies of the state will vote for the General elections 2019.
