China doesn't budge, no NSG for India

Seoul (Republic Of Korea), June 24 (ANI): On the second day of the 26th plenary of the Nuclear Supply Group (NSG) meeting in Seoul, Chinese Chief Negotiator Wang Qun on Friday said that India's membership to the elite group was never on its agenda. He said that China does not back India or Pakistan to be admitted in NSG till they follow rules laid down by the members of the group as a whole. The official asserted that NSG consensus is in favour of a Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and hoped India signed the NPT, as it is one of five criteria which has been set by the group as a whole.
