Abu Dhabi (UAE), May 13 (ANI): Indian Ambassador to UAE Navdeep Suri on Sunday reiterated the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the India hopes to become UAE's partner in food security while also hoping that UAE's demand for food would help create food corridor between India, UAE. He said, "The PM explained to UAE leadership that just as UAE has been a strategic partner to India in energy sector, India can become its partner in food security. If we can find ways to preserve the percentage of wasted food in India it could meet the needs of all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries." He added, "It (food corridor) will be beneficial for our farmers who suffer when there's a glut in the market and prices crash. This fits into the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which would double the income of farmers in the next 5 years."
