India is new engine of global growth: PM Modi

Washington DC (USA), June 08 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) in Washington D.C., said India is poised to contribute as a new engine of global growth. He lauded India saying that it is a reliable partner, a source of high-quality scientific, engineering and managerial talent and a testimony that democracy and rapid growth could co-exist. PM Modi even praised the role of diaspora, saying that Indian-Americans are powerful cementing force in growing economic and cultural ties. He added that clear performance measures, adequate capital, interference in banking decisions have ended and new appointments were in place. PM Modi also outlined his vision for the future continuing sound macro-economic policies, combined with inclusive growth and expanding reforms.
