Washington DC, Sep 22 (ANI): India and the United States held their first strategic and commercial dialogue on Tuesday (September 22) and agreed to cooperate in areas of climate change, maritime security, and fight against militancy, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's US visit later this week. Both countries also pledged commitment to combat militancy. The Indian delegation led by Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and the US side led by Secretary of State John Kerry signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on energy security, climate change and clean energy. Kerry said that the two countries were committed on reaching a comprehensive agreement on climate change at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris slated to be held in November this year.
