Rashtriya Janata Party conducts Integration rally in Birgunj

Birgunj, Nepal, May 13 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Party (RJP) conducted its first integration meeting at Chitragupta temple in Birgunj to protest against the government for not living up to its commitment and resolving the Madhesi issues which include the revisions in the provisions of citizenship and including proportional representation in the Parliament.The meeting comes just ahead of the first phase of the election scheduled on May 14th.RJP was formed after six Madeshi Parties based on southern Nepal's Terai region joined hands and they plan to disrupt the local elections scheduled on May 14th. However, they had retreated from their movement following a commitment from the central government to address the issue through fast track.
