Saptari, Dec 19 (ANI): Students sought an early resolution of the ongoing crisis in Nepal over the newly adopted Constitution as schools and colleges remained closed for the third month. Shouting slogans against the government, members of Madhesi community hit the streets in Nepal demanding fulfillment of their demands. With just a few months to go for their final exams, students urged government and the agitators to hold proper negotiations and resolve the crisis. Madhesis have been protesting against the seven-province model of the new constitution and are demanding redrawing of boundaries. Protesters have blocked trucks from India for more than three months, leading to acute shortages of fuel and medicine in the country. But the Madhesis have declared that they would not end the protest till their demands were met. Madhesis have called the seven-province model of the new Constitution discriminatory. About 50 people have died in protests that began in September.
