NED vs IND FIH Pro League 2025: Netherlands hockey team defeated the Indian hockey side 3-2 on the day to make it 2 wins from 2 in the European leg of the FIH Pro League 2025. Goals from Van Dam, Hoedemarkus and Jansen gave the Olympic champions a vital win on the day which saw them go to 20 points in the table. Despite of goals from Abhishek and Jugraj, India were handed consecutive defeats against the Dutch as their path to next year's World Cup gets a little tougher now. The first quarter ended 0-0 with both sides getting half chances but not able to convert them into the breakthrough. Harmanpreet's men did however, look aggressive on the attack with Abhishek getting a shot from outside the box just wide of the goal. The 2nd quarter saw the goals come in as centurion Abhishek broke the deadlock on the day with a blast into the roof of the net from close range in the 20th minute. The Dutch however, were quick to react to the goal and scored themselves in the 24th minute courtesy of Van Dam who tapped in the cross from his skipper. India couldn't pierce through the Dutch defence in the 3rd quarter as a barrage of penalty corners for India couldn't find the equaliser. The Dutch were persistent with their attacks as they stayed resilient defensively as well. The final quarter did see Jugraj convert the penalty corner in the 6th minute of the final quarter to make it 2-2 and it did look like the Men in Blue will be taking a point off the hosts. However, the Dutch kept attacking and were rewarded with a penalty corner in the end which was converted in by Jansen, giving them a 3-2 lead in the final 5 minutes of the tie.
