Indian venture debt platform 8vdX expands to UK, Singapore and Australia

An Indian technology-enabled venture debt platform for early stage start-ups on Wednesday announced its expansion to the UK market. 8vdX said its aim is to offer cross-border venture debt, or a type of finance, to start-ups through local entities in the new geography. By 2024, 8vdX said it aims to fund 100 start-ups with assets under management (AUM) of USD 200 million and also has plans to expand to other countries such as Singapore and Australia. We are delighted to announce the expansion of our operations in key markets like Singapore, UK and Australia within just eight months of launching 8vdX, said Ravi Chachra, Co-Founder of 8vdX. Liz Truss holds firm lead over Rishi Sunak in UK PM race: Tory survey

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss is holding on to a firm lead over former Chancellor Rishi Sunak in the race to be elected Conservative Party leader and British Prime Minister, according to a new survey of Tory voters on Wednesday. The Conservative Home website survey of 961 party members, who either already have or will be casting their postal or online ballots in the leadership election, found Truss at 60 per cent and Sunak at 28 per cent. Once the 9 per cent who fall under the "don't know" category are equally distributed between the two finalists in the contest, Truss maintains a 32-point lead over the British Indian ex-minister as the website's last survey found earlier this month.
