Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 18 (ANI): Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav on January 18 said that the party has included 300 units of free electricity in their election manifesto. “The Samajwadi Party has included it in its manifesto to provide 300 units of free electricity. The campaign for this will be started from tomorrow. The registered name on the electricity bill will be filled in the form under this campaign,” he added.
New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, Nishad Party founder Sanjay Nishad on January 18 in Delhi said that the party will soon announce the names of candidates for all the seats. “Names of all the seats will be announced in two to four days, after our meeting today,” the party founder said. “We are working to win the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls and have no problem in giving the seats to BJP,” he added.

Mohali (Punjab), Jan 18 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann has been named as the party's chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Punjab Assembly polls, said the party's National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on January 18. “Aam Aadmi Party Lok Sabha MP from Sangrur constituency in Punjab Bhagwant Mann will be the party's chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Assembly elections,” Arvind Kejriwal said. The Punjab Assembly Elections will be held on February 20.

Prayagraj (UP), Jan 17 (ANI): Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait on January 17 stated that State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath must win election from Gorakhpur Constituency.“We're not supporting anyone. Yogi must win election from (Gorakhpur) as we need strong opposition in the State,” said Tikait. The polling in UP will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7 in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 17 (ANI): Former Samajwadi Party MLC Ghanshyam Singh Lodhi slammed SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and alleged that he has inducted people who have criminal cases against them. “Samajwadi Party says something else and does something else. SP has been in power four times, but they never worked for the development of OBCs,” said Ghyanshyam. He also alleged that the party chief Akhilesh Yadav has inducted people who have criminal cases against them without giving a thought. The loyalists of the party weren’t given respect after induction of the new ones from different parties, he said.

The trading system will be streamlined and simplified,” the AAP convenor said. “We will provide Rs 1000 to every woman above 18 years of age. The tourism sector will be developed as per international standards. Goa will have 24/7 free electricity and water. Roads will be improved and free education will be given in all government schools,” he further added.

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Due to a decline in the number of samples tested, Delhi witnessed a decline in its daily COVID-19 cases, reporting 20,718 COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours, said the state government on January 15. As per the bulletin provided by the health department, the positivity rate for the day mounted to 30.64 per cent. A total of 67,624 samples were tested during the last 24 hours, 19,554 people recovered from the infection, taking the total recoveries to 15,72,942. 30 people lost their lives to the deadly virus during the last 24 hours. The death toll in Delhi due to the virus currently stands at 25,335.
