St Andre (North Goa), Jan 15 (ANI): Ahead of Goa Assembly polls, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on January 15 launched door-to-door election campaign in St. Andre assembly, North Goa. "People are excited to give chance to a new party and are looking for an honest alternative. AAP will give honest government," said Kejriwal. Goa will go to the polls on February 14.
New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): The BJP on January 15 announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly election. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest the polls from Gorakhpur and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya will contest UP Polls from Sirathu in Prayagraj. Addressing a press conference, BJP Uttar Pradesh poll in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan said, “We are releasing the list of candidates on 48/55 seats in the second phase and 57/58 seats in first phase,” the Union Minister said. “CM Yogi Adityanath to contest UP Polls from Gorakhpur. Deputy CM Kesav Prasad Maurya to contest UP Polls from Sirathu in Prayagraj district.” UP Assembly Elections will be held from February 10 to March 07.

While addressing a Press Conference he alleged that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav just want Dalit votes. “After all the discussions, in the end, I felt that Akhilesh Yadav does not want Dalits in this alliance, he just wants Dalit vote bank. He humiliated the people of Bahujan Samaj, I tried for 1 month 3 days but the alliance could not happen,” the Bhim Army Chief said.

Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will be held in seven phases. Polling will be held from February 10 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 14 (ANI): Reacting to the resignations of MLAs from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, State Minister Sidharth Nath Singh on January 14 said that the MLAs are leaving BJP for their personal benefits. He said, "There are several reasons for these MLAs to leave BJP, some are going for their personal benefit, others fear they won't get the ticket from the constituency of their choice. In logo ne 5 saal tak BJP ke saath rahkar malai kaane ka kaam kiya." "OBCs and Dalits are being misguided in the state. Let them (MLAs who left BJP) list 10 welfare schemes by Samajwadi Party for OBCs and Dalits. Samajwadi Party only works for Muslims and Yadavs. I want to tell them that other OBC communities will never join them," Singh added

Lucknow, Jan 14 (ANI): Days after Swami Prasad Maurya’s exit from the Uttar Pradesh cabinet and from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Mahan Dal, the ally of Samajwadi Party on January 13 said that people like Swami Prasad Maurya move from one party to another as elections come near. “He didn't raise his voice for our community when he was in BSP and BJP. Now, they are coming to SP, we welcome them but want them to raise voice for our people,” he added. Mahan Dal is contesting UP elections in alliance with Samajwadi Party.Uttar Pradesh assembly elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases from 10th Feb-7th March 2022. The counting of votes for all seven phases will be done on 10 March.
Muzaffarnagar (UP), Jan 13 (ANI): ?Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait on January 13 informed that his party will not contest in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. “Sanjay Raut met me today regarding the farmers' protest that was held in Delhi. He invited me to Maharashtra. We are not contesting any elections,” said Tikait.

Maurya said, “A non-bailable warrant has been issued against me in an 8-year-old case. It's just 2nd day of my resignation (as UP min). Even if dozens of cases registered against me, my morale will not be weakened. The more they trouble me, the more strongly I'll defeat them.”

New Delhi, Jan 13 (ANI): Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on January 13 said that his party will not be a part of any alliance in Uttar Pradesh. The clarification came ahead of the UP Assembly Elections that will be held from February 10 to March 07. "Shiv Sena will not be part of any alliance in UP. We have ideological differences with Samajwadi Party but we want a change in the state. We have been working for a long time in UP but didn't contest elections because we didn't want to hurt BJP," Sanjay Raut said.
