Tamil Nadu: Memorial temple built for MGR, Jayalalithaa has pictures of PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah

Madurai (TN), Mar 23 (ANI): Pictures of several Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, can be seen inside the temple meant to commemorate late Tamil Nadu chief ministers J Jayalalithaa and MG Ramachandran. In the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, BJP is contesting the elections in coalition with the AIADMK. Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled to be held on April 6 and counting of votes will be done on May 6.

Congress proved to be a failure: CM Sonowal

Onboard, Mar 23 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was in all praises for his government's work for uplifting not only the daily wages of the tea workers but also for providing them quality habitation, connectivity and other amenities. CM Sarbananda Sonowal said, "No problem in daily wages for tea workers. BJP in its small period enhanced daily wages by Rs 80. How many times did Congress increase the daily wages of tea labourers during their regime? Our government has worked for the up gradation of tea labourers not only their wages but also their quality habitation, and also quality connectivity and other amenities like electricity, houses."

INS Jalashwa reaches Ehoala, Madagascar to deliver humanitarian aid to deal with drought

Antsiranana (Madagascar), March 22 (ANI): Indian Naval Ship (INS) Jalashwa on Monday reached the port of Ehoala, Madagascar to deliver a consignment of 1,000 metric tonnes of rice and 100,000 tablets of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to help Madagascar in dealing with severe drought in South Madagascar. According to a press release, the consignment will be handed over to the Prime Minister of Madagascar Christian Ntsay by Ambassador Abhay Kumar in an official ceremony on March 23. INS Jalashwa had reached the port of Antsiranana, Madagascar on March 12 with an Indian Naval training team that has been deployed in Madagascar for capacity building and training of the Malagasy Special Forces for two weeks. India has always been a reliable partner of Madagascar in time of need.
