Mumbai, March 22 (ANI): Speaking on the accusation on Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh of directing suspended cop Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 crore, state Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Nawab Malik on March 22 said there will be a probe (against Home Minister Anil Deshmukh) in the matter and party will take a call only after probe. "Param Bir Singh's letter raises questions, it was written after transfer. There'll be a probe (against Home Minister Anil Deshmukh). Resignation has been asked on basis of letter, no question it'll happen. Party will take a call only after probe," Malik told ANI. Earlier, in an ongoing investigation in the Mukesh Ambani bomb scare case and Sachin Waze case, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, in a letter to Maharasthra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, accused state HM Deshmukh of demanding extortion money from Waze. He said, "If someone is attempting to get President's Rule imposed in Maharashtra by misusing central agencies, then I am warning them - you yourself will get burnt in that fire." We will implement CAA in Assam: State BJP chief

Majuli (Assam), March 22 (ANI): Ahead of the Assam Assembly elections, state BJP chief Ranjeet Kumar Dass on March 21 said that the party will soon implement Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Speaking to ANI, Dass said, "This has been passed (by the Parliament). There is no question of stepping back, this is an ideological commitment of BJP. CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) is not going to cause any harm. We will definitely implement it, rules will be formed." Three terrorists eliminated in encounter in J and K's Shopian

Shopian (Jammu and Kashmir), March 22 (ANI): Three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian in the early hours of March 22. Two of them were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. The encounter broke out at the Manihal area of Shopian and it is currently underway. More details are awaited.

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): Amid the political turmoil in Maharashtra in wake of allegations levelled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh against the state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, a meeting is underway at the residence of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on March 21. Party leaders Praful Patel, Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil and Supriya Sule are present at the meeting. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, Congress leader Kamal Nath also attended the meeting. Earlier in the day, Sharad Pawar said that there will be no impact on Maha Vikas Aghadi government.

"Government has its own rule, regulation and it has majority that is why we run the government. So, allow the government to carry out their work," Raut added.
