I think execution is key part: Holder ahead of 2nd ODI against India

Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago), Aug 11 (ANI): Ahead of the second ODI against India, West Indies skipper Jason Holder said executing plans in a proper manner is the key to winning games in cricket. While speaking to mediapersons, he said, "We got plans for everybody, we just got to execute. I think execution is the key part of winning cricket games. We got to be consistent in all three departments." The first ODI was abandoned due to rain. West Indies will face India for the second ODI on Sunday.

Guyana (South America), Aug 08 (ANI): West Indies is all set to lock horns with Team India for their 1st ODI match. West Indies Team Captain Jason Holder spoke to mediapersons post practicing for the match. Holder said, "Players are fresh and they come up with different concepts. We have ways to improve and to make things better. I feel it's about each and every individual to play their role and to execute it. Execution goes for a long way. At the end of the day, each individual has to perform on their own." He further said, "We are working on to take wickets and to get into the middle order."

2023 World Cup is too far, priority is to keep Indian Cricket Team on top: Virat Kohli

Guyana (South America), Aug 07 (ANI): India won the three-match T20I series 3-0 against West Indies as the Men in Blue outclassed Windies by seven wickets in the third T20I here at the Providence Stadium on Wednesday. Post match, skipper Virat Kohli spoke to mediapersons. He said, "The pitch was really nice to bat on. The bowlers had something in it, especially the spinners. They bowled in the right area. I think it's a good cricket wicket, a bit of hard work with the bat. All in all, I think it was a good wicket to play, some good cricket with the bat and the bowl." On question being asked about 2023 World Cup, Kohli said, "It's too far away to think about 2023. You really start planning for the World Cup about 12 months before and not 4 years before. I think the priority is to keep Indian Cricket on the top."

Sports fraternity condoles demise of Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Aug 07 (ANI): Former external affairs minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj passed away on Tuesday, and various personalities from the sports fraternity offered condolences on the demise of the 67-year-old leader. Krunal Pandya credits whole team for winning match against West Indies

Florida (USA), Aug 05 (ANI): India displayed an all-round performance to defeat West Indies by 22 runs owing to Duckworth-Lewis method at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill on Sunday. Post match, cricketer Krunal Pandya spoke to mediapersons on the win and called it an overall good team performance. Pandya said "Quiet happy the way I have bowled. In first game, I bowled 4 overs and in this game also I bowled 3 overs. The wicket was slightly helping the spinners which helped me as well being a spinner. Simranjit Kaur hungry for more after clinching gold in President's Cup Boxing Tournament

New Delhi, July 31 (ANI): Simranjit Kaur in 60kg category grabbed gold in 23rd President's Cup Boxing Tournament in Indonesia's Labuan Bajo. Kaur defeated Indonesia's Asian Games bronze medalist Hasanah Uswatun 5-0 in the final bout. Sharing her joy, she said that this medal is her good start in 60kg category as she just started in it. She also shared that for 60kg category she did lot of homework like watching videos of her competitors on YouTube and change of her tactics. Kaur also added that her focus is on upcoming world championship and practicing for it. Six-time world champion Mary Kom also bagged gold in 51kg category.

Kohli shares image with teammates as 'Men in Blue' depart for WI tour

New Delhi, Jul 30 (ANI): Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli posted a picture with his team before leaving for Miami. The 'Men in Blue' from there will catch another flight to Florida where they will play first two T20Is against West Indies. Virat Kohli tweeted an image of him along with KL Rahul, Krunal Pandya, and others captioning it as 'Miami bound'. India batsman Shikhar Dhawan also shared an image with his opening partner Rohit Sharma and wrote: "All set for West Indies with my partner - The Hit-man!" Mumbai, July 21 (ANI): While addressing a press conference on Sunday in Mumbai to announce India squad for West Indies tour, BCCI chief selector MSK Prasad, on MS Dhoni's unavailability said, "He's unavailable for this series but we had certain roadmaps and plans till WC. Subsequently, we've laid down few more plans and thought of giving as many opportunities to Pant and to see he is groomed. This is our plan right now." India will start their West Indies tour from August 03 and will play three T20s, as many ODIs and two Test matches. This will be India's first assignment post ICC World Cup.

While addressing the press conference, BCCI chief selector MSK Prasad said, "We have three T-20 and 3 ODI and couple of test matches." India will start their West Indies tour from August 03 and will play three T20s, as many ODIs and two Test matches. This will be India's first assignment post ICC World Cup.
