National-level Sailing week kicks off in Hyderabad

Hyderabad (ANI), Jul 03 (ANI): Multi-Class National level Sailing Week kicked off on July 2 in Hyderabad. The Championship was inaugurated by Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan. Over 200 sailors from across the country are participating in the championship. It is being jointly organised by EME Sailing Association (EMESA) and Secunderabad Sailing Club.

CWC: Number of matches played matters, says Kaif on Mayank's inclusion

New Delhi, July 02 (ANI): Former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif, while referring to the inclusion of Mayank Agarwal, on Tuesday said that the number of match being played should be considered as a factor to be selected in India's World Cup squad. Budding cricketer from Hyderabad seeks aid from govt to represent India

Hyderabad, June 30 (ANI): With an aim to play for India one day, Syed Abdul Aziz, a budding cricketer, is awaiting financial support from the government as the 17-year old's family is finding it hard to make ends meet. Aziz, who plays as an all-rounder, said it has been three years since he started training to play professional cricket and during these three years, he has played many tournaments. Maharashtra wins men's and women's title in National Wheelchair Basketball Championship

Mohali (Punjab), June 30 (ANI): Maharashtra secured the top spot in the 6th National Wheelchair Basketball Championship in both men's and women's categories here at Multipurpose Stadium in Mohali on Saturday. Union Sports Minister, Kiren Rijiju attended the event on the conclusion day. In the men's category, Maharashtra beat Punjab by 64-52 to win their sixth consecutive title. In women's category, Maharashtra defeated Tamil Nadu by 25-14 and claimed their third title. The event was organised by the Basketball Federation of India with the assistance of the Punjab sports department.

Indian para-athletes shatter two world records

New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): Indian para-athletes, Sandeep Chaudhary and Sumit Kumar shattered two world records in the men's javelin throw at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Italy in the F-64 and F-46 categories. They practiced under the Paralympic Committee of India. They practiced twice a day around 6 hours in total. Hapur boy Kartik Tyagi selected for U-19 cricket team

Hapur (UP), June 28 (ANI): Kartik Tyagi of Uttar Pradesh's Hapur has been selected for the Under-19 cricket team. He will be seen playing as fast bowler in U-19 cricket tournament. The All-India Junior Selection Committee picked the India U-19 team for the one-day Tri-series in England starting from July 21, 2019. India will play the U-19 sides of hosts England and Bangladesh in the tournament. There is a wave of happiness in the family and among the villagers. Kartik's father is a small farmer and has a big contribution in the boy's success. The match will be held between India, Bangladesh and England. FIH finals: Triumphant Indian women's hockey team returns to India

New Delhi, Jun 25 (ANI): Triumphant Indian women's hockey team arrived at the Delhi airport today. They returned to India after winning the FIH (Federation Internationale de Hockey) Women's Series Finals in Japan against the host country. India defeated host Japan by 3-1 in the final on June 23.
