ndia has developed its first indigenous 350-kg thrust-class expendable turbojet engine. Designed by DRDO’s Gas Turbine Research Establishment and manufactured by Hyderabad-based Azad Engineering, the engine is built for single-mission applications. The breakthrough marks a key step towards reducing dependence on foreign suppliers and reflects the growing role of India’s private defence industry.
