Want to celebrate Diwali with a new set of wheels? We have some recommendations.

Maruti Wagon R Duo: Sure, the facelifted car doesn't have the cuteness of the old one, neither is the Duo that powerful, but with LPG being a measly 25 bucks a litre, do you really care? If there is a cheaper way to get around, it doesn't come with four wheels.

Hyundai Verna: The newest Hyundai on the block, the diesel Verna may be a bit pricey, but no oilburner will give you so much fun for so less " the closest to it is the Skoda Laura. Change your perspective on diesel performance forever!

Ford Fiesta Dura Sport: The racing stripes might mimic some sporty Fords of yore, but the Dura Sport is still more Fiesta than Mustang.

Available only in Moondust Silver or Panther Black, the striped Fiesta is available with the 1400cc or 1600cc petrol engine options. Remember, there are only 500 to go!

Chevy SRV: At close to Rs 8 lakh for a hatchback, the SRV makes little economic sense, but you can't beat it for style. If you are the sort who goes well dressed even to the beach, this is the car for you. Besides, if you squint really hard you can almost fool yourself into believing it's an Alfa.

Honda Civic: The future is here and it sure looks smashing. The Civic is great to look at, drive and own. Apart from the long waiting queue, we can't see a reason why you shouldn't get one of these.

Toyota Camry: The new Camry is more involving to drive than any Camry has ever been, and this one is loaded to the gills too. All this for a marginal price increase over the old car.

The value-for-money concept exists for cars at this price too, you know, and this Toyota justifies it rather well.

New Mercedes-Benz E-Class: You would have never thought the current E-Class needs a facelift, but someone at Sindelfingen did.

The new E debuted in New York this April and if you delay your celebrations till next month, you could be driving around in one too. Expect two new diesel and petrol engine options too!
