Aventis Pharma Q2 net up 8% to Rs 47 cr

Drug firm Aventis Pharma today said its net profit rose by 7.99 per cent to Rs 47.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010, over the same period last fiscal.

The company had a net profit of Rs 43.8 crore in the corresponding period of 2009-10, Aventis Pharma said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Net sales of the company climbed to Rs 275.6 crore for the quarter ended September 30, from Rs 258.5 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Shares of Aventis Pharma closed at Rs 1,811.40 on the BSE, down 1.25 per cent from its previous close.
