CII calls on K Chandrashekar Rao

Delegation discussed various aspects covering power, information technology investment region, investment and branding Telangana

A delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) led by its president Ajay S Shriram, met chief minister of Telangana , K Chandrashekar Rao, immediately after he resumed office, here today.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed various aspects covering power, information technology investment region, investment and branding Telangana among others.

The delegation flew in a chartered flight from Delhi to specifically meet the new chief minister, the CII said.

The chief minister assured the industry that one of his main agenda was to address the power issues and ensure continuous supply of power to the industry. Shriram emphasised the need for collaboration to ensure greater job creation, which would ensure economic growth, according to a press release.

The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci) also extended its cooperation for the economic development of the new state and wished the new government all success in its endeavours.

Fapcci president, Srinivas Ayyadevara, said the industry body was looking forward to rapid development of industry, trade and commerce in Telangana under the leadership of the chief minister and his council of ministers, according to a Fapcci release here on Monday.
