Glenmark Pharma Q2 profit jumps 56% to Rs 117 crore

Drug-maker Glenmark Pharmaceuticals posted a growth of 56.23 per cent in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 over the corresponding period last year. The firm recorded a net profit of Rs 117.36 crore, compared to Rs 75.12 crore in the corresponding period last year, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The revenue rose by 49.29 per cent at Rs 559.71 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 374.89 crore in the same period last year.

Tata Teleservices net loss dips marginally

Mumbai-based Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd reported a net loss of Rs 47.35 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, compared to Rs 49.31 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenues grew by about 21 per cent to Rs 518.24 crore, compared to Rs 429.30 crore in the corresponding period last year.

S Kumars' net up 34%

S Kumars Nationwide, a domestic textiles major, has posted a rise of 33.7 per cent in its net profit at Rs 57.77 crore for the quarter ended September 30, compared with Rs 43.21 crore in the corresponding previous quarter. Its net sales grew to Rs 560.49 crore during the quarter against Rs 391.1 crore last year, up 43.31 per cent.
