Kesoram Q4 net jumps 50% at Rs 159 cr

Kesoram Industries today reported 50 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 159.22 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009, as compared to the same period last year.

The company's turnover during the Q4 period was at Rs 1,175.77 crore up from Rs 999.38 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year, said in a filing to the BSE.

The company, however, posted a marginal drop in net profit to Rs 378.72 crore for the year ended March 2009.

The company's sales during the year under review was Rs 4,292.06 crore against Rs 3,440.32 crore registered a year ago.

However, profit from cement segment grew to Rs 551.90 crore.
