MMTC Q4 profit touches Rs 89 cr

MMTC on Tuesday posted a nearly six-fold jump in net profit at Rs 89.47 crore for three months ended March, primarily benefiting from increased imports of fertilisers and coal. The company had registered a net profit of Rs 15.4 crore during the same period of last year. Its total income in the quarter declined to Rs 10,940 crore compared to Rs 21,200 crore in the year-ago period.
