IT services provider Patni Computer Systems today said its consolidated net profit for the third quarter ended September 30, stood at Rs 180.23 crore, a 81.39 per cent growth over the corresponding period a year-ago.
The firm had a net profit of Rs 99.36 crore in the third quarter of FY08, Patni Computer said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The consolidated total income rose to Rs 852.80 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 709.05 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
On a standalone basis, the company reported a profit after tax of Rs 152.90 crore for the quarter ended September, a 80.03 per cent growth over the same period year ago.
The company had a PAT of Rs 84.93 crore in the September quarter of financial year FY08.
The company's standalone income rose to Rs 444.94 crore in the September quarter, from Rs 341.80 in the same period previous year.
The IT firm outlook for the Q4 are expected to be at $176-177 million and net income (excluding foreign exchange gain or loss) is expected to be in the range of $22-22.5 million.
Shares of the company were quoting at Rs 151.50, down 4.08 per cent in the morning trade on the BSE.
