Roca ups stake to 97% in Parryware joint venture

Parryware Roca, a 50:50 joint venture company, was set up by EID Parry (India) and Spain-based Roca Sanitario in May 2006. Headquartered in Chennai, the company manufactures various bathroom products including sanitaryware, seat covers, plastic cisterns, bath tubs, kitchen sinks and electronic flushing systems.

Speaking to Business Standard, K E Ranganathan, managing director, Parryware Roca, said that Parryware has a 46 per cent market share of the Rs 450-crore organised sanitaryware market in the country.

The total market, including unorganised sector, is estimated at around Rs 1,000 crore. The Parryware brand is ranked No 9 in the world bathroom products market.
