Infosys today said some of the clients of Satyam Computer Services have approached the second-largest software exporter of the country.
"Some of the Satyam clients have approached us. It is after all any clients decision to go to any vendor, wherever it wants. We have not proactively approached any of their clients," Infosys Director (Human Resources) T V Mohandas Pai said.
When asked if Infosys would consider those clients he said, "If a client fits our system and strategy, we could look at them, but that is the only consideration."
TCS-Infotech --a Hyderabad-based IT company --had earlier said that some of the Satyam clients had approached it.
Pai said that the new board is doing an excellent job for Satyam and it is moving in the right direction.
He anticipated that Infosys will be able to hold on to its profit margin as it has done in the last three quarters.
The company is on the cost-cutting exercise, which includes reducing the number of on-sight employees, Pai said.
He said Infosys is going to focus on all deals -- big and small to carry on business and with slowdown continuing the wage increase for the employees, if at all it happens, is going to be moderate.
He said our clients indicate that the IT budget is going to be flat or negative.
