Has your laptop warranty expired and you don’t have time to avail it again? Are you tired of contacting servicemen to repair your refrigerator? Servify, a Mumbai-based start-up, will be your personal assistant for all household electronic gadgets and appliances. It helps store bills and warranty on cloud, in addition to connecting with branded authorised service providers when consumers need a reliable repair.

Recently, it raised an undisclosed Pre-Series-A investment from Blume Ventures, Beenext and others. Started in 2015, Servify is building a device ownership platform to help users manage their post-purchase ownership experience of mobiles, personal gadgets, electronics and home appliances. It helps customers in pre-purchase, post-purchase, usage, installation, maintenance and reselling of electronic devices under one umbrella.

With 600,000 devices registered in their online application, Sreevathsa Prabhakar, founder and chief executive, said: “Often, customers don’t get home service post-purchase of products and they either resort to the ‘grey market’ for repair or dispose off their devices. Our vision is to build a transparent platform where consumers can get seamless post-purchase experience for all their devices.”

With a team of 85 members currently, the company aims to achieve break-even by April 2017, and engage three million households. Since it does not own any logistics, it generates revenue through its business-to-business service and consumer service feed where customers pay for the services availed.

Android users can access the app offline and the same will be launched for iOS users next week. They also plan on introducing Internet of Things by next year, where users will be able to turn on their television, among other facilities.
