Smaat Aqua Technologies, a city-based company offering water purifying solutions, would henceforth offer the systems on rental basis in addition to the outright sale, to suit the needs of moderate consumers of water.

M Karunakar Reddy, CEO, Smaat Aqua, told reporters here on Wednesday that the new model, where the company installs and maintains the plant, was aimed at apartments, hostels, hospitals, corporate offices and restaurants.

The company would provide a fully automatic, portable water treatment plant with a capacity of 500 to 50,000 litre a day.
