Star India names J C Giri as executive vice-prez

Prior to the appointment, Giri had served as President, Ogilvy, Mumbai, the company said in a statement today.     

Star India CEO Uday Shankar said that Giri would take charge of Star's planned portfolio of regional channels in Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati.     

"He would take charge of our planned portfolio of regional channels and would be responsible for timely launch of these channels," he said.
