Stay On Pepsi Advertisement Against Coca-Cola
The ad war between soft drinks giants Pepsi Foods Ltd (Pepsi) and Coca-Cola India has taken a twist with the sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) of Bhadrak, Orissa, directing Pepsi to stop airing an commercial which shows bird droppings landing inside a glass of soft drink held by actor Salman Khan.
Issuing an order on a petition filed by one Gobardhan Nayak, on behalf of the Salman Khan Fan Club, against Pepsi Foods Ltd and others, Bhadrak has directed Pepsi to stop displaying the advertisement.
The next hearing has been scheduled for August 7, and representatives of Pepsi have been directed to appear before the court.
