Suguna Foods, which iscountry’s largest player in poultry sector, plan to double its revenues to Rs 10,000 crore in the next five years. It has planned to invest Rs 150 crore in expansion over the next five years.

The poultry major eyesit's growth in revenue by diversifying into other food categories like ready to eat and feed mill.

Also, the company which has a strong presence in the south plans to extend it's network to other geographies as well which the company hopes will help them reach the target of Rs 10,000 crore.

Currently, the company sees 95% of it's revenue coming from sale of poultry products and only five% from other categories, but going ahead the company does plan to increase it's share of revenue coming from other categories.

“We plan to see at least Rs 1,500 crore revenue coming from other categories in the next three years and we are also looking out for a brand ambassador,” said Sundararajan GB, MD of Suguna Foods.

Suguna Foods recently invested Rs 100 crore in an upgraded pellet technology feed mill plant in Maharashtra which has a five lakh tonne capacity.

Supplementing the poultry business, the company plans to start selling ready made masala's as well under the name Mother's Delight. All the masala's will be those which can be used in the preparation of poultry products.

The company also plans to enter the quick service restaurant business called Suguna Crisp and Crunch and plans to open ten express outlets this financial year and through the franchisee model plans to 2000 more stores in another five years. The first store of Suguna Crisp and Crunch has been opened in Bangalore.

The company currently has 150 outlets called Suguna Daily Fresh in Tamil Nadu which sell Sugua Foods chicken as well as ready to cook items to 500 in the next three years by expansing in Bangalore and Kerala as well.

Also, the company soon plans to launch other value added items like soya chunks and soya milk in the next six months, currently, the company produces refined soy oil called Mother's Delight.
