TVS Motor on Thursday reported a 123 per cent rise in September quarter net profit at Rs 54.8 crore, compared to Rs 24.5 crore in the same period last year. Revenue grew to Rs 1,616 crore from Rs 1,130 crore.
“A complete portfolio, complemented by sales from new and existing products, has led to a robust increase in TVS Motor Company’s domestic and export sales across all categories during the second quarter of this financial year. This has enabled the company to achieve revenue growth of 43 per cent during the quarter,” according to a company statement.
Profit before tax rose 181 per cent to Rs 68 crore from Rs 24 crore in the year-ago quarter.
