VIP to launch Carlton brand in a year

| Addressing mediapersons during the launch of its 90th exclusive store in India at Hyderabad on Monday, Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, vice-president (sales), Blow Plast Ltd, said, "Carlton has a strong presence in the UK and European markets. We are now planning to launch this brand in India within a year's time." |
| This apart, the luggage manufacturer is also looking at increasing its focus on retail distribution and will be increasing its number of exclusive stores from 90 to 100 by the end of 2005-06. |
| The Rs 430-crore company is also looking at a 30 per cent growth in the retail segment category in the first quarter of this fiscal and an overall growth of 20 per cent in 2005-06. |
| Parag Dani, head (retail business), Blow Plast Ltd, said, "At present, the retail sector contributes to 12.5 per cent of our turnover and we are looking at increasing it to 25 per cent in the next two years." |
| "We are also planning to expand our global footprint and have already set up offices in Dubai and Hong Kong among others," Dani said. The company distributes its products through tie-ups with retail chains abroad. |
