| In the First Information Report (FIR) it was alleged Bose had made certain comment about the fucntioning of the election observeres, deputed for observing election inWest Bengal. |
| The FIR made under section 153, 171c (2),189 503, 504, 505(1) of Indian Penal Code. While allowing the application for anticipatory bail,the chief judge of CSC directed Bose to appear before the court before June 10. |
| Bose said two days before elections in the state the press should "isolate observers and hand them over to the police by the scruff of their neck". |
| Follwing this statement, Chief Election Commissioner of India directed CEO-WB to file the FIR. The FIR was filed against Bose on May 10 at the Taltala Police station under Kolkata Police. |
