It has been over five months since Infosys chief mentor and chairman N R Narayana Murthy tendered his resignation from the post of chairman of the Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL). But, the Karnataka government is yet to accept it. | |
| "The government has not taken a decision on accepting the resignation. Consequently, there is no proposal to find a new chairman to head the BIAL," deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa told the legislative assembly here on Monday in his written reply. |

| Narayanamurthy had resigned on October 22, 2005 after former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda questioned the former's contribution in implementing the BIAL project. |
