Nilkamal Ties Up With Iifa Awards

Nilkamal Plastics, one of the largest moulded plastics furniture company in the country, has become associate sponsor to the prestigious International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards to be held on June 16 at Sun City, South Africa.

The IIFA awards this year will be hosted by the current Miss World Priyanka Chopra and Kabir Bedi and will feature performances by Hrithik Roshan, Karishma Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, and prince of pop fusion Taz (Stereo Nation).

An impressive array of film stars, industrialists, socialites, musicians and performers from India and abroad are expected to be present.

The awards, produced and promoted by Wizcraft International, will have a blend of Indian and international entertainment and will be aired live in India by Sony Entertainment Television.

Nilkamal director Manish Parekh, said Nilkamal is associated with the awards as Indian films have a direct appeal to the masses.

Moreover, the IIFA awards showcase the best of Indian films and artists and, thus, in a manner enhance visibility and recognition for the country.

The IIFA awards were first held on June 16, 2000, at the Millennium Dome, London, UK, and were attended by leading artists from international and Indian films such as Jackie Chan, Angelina Jolie, Kylie Minogue, Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Sonali Bendre, Mahima Chowdhury et al.

The IIFA Awards advisory board comprises Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Yash Johar, David Dhawan, J P Dutta, Jeetendra Kapoor, Pahlaj Nihalani and Ramesh Sippy.
