Pak not satisfied with India's reply

Pakistan is apparently not satisfied with the details provided by India in its second dossier in reply to the list of 30 questions sent by Pakistan regarding the Mumbai terror attacks.

While the official word from the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi is that the Interior Ministry has handed over the report to experts in the Federal Investigation Agency, the Pakistan media has reported that Pakistan considers the information provided in the 400-page dossier as “irrelevant”.

The Daily Times quoted officials as saying the information provided is “away from the target.” Earlier, Home Minister P Chidambaram, whose ministry prepared the report, had said India’s answers were “very comprehensive” and answered every question posed by Pakistan.

While Pakistan intends to use the information India has provided to build a case against those kept under detention in Pakistan, such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Dawn has reported that there are no replies to some of Pakistan’s additional queries such as: a survivor’s account of how Anti-Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare was killed, confession of Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving LeT operative who took part in the attack, and the alleged links between a Gujarat-based diamond merchant and a few Hindus in Pakistan.
